Be a Black Hole
I will define a body as a well defined and bounded chunk of matter. The boundary ensures it has an internal space and an external space. The boundary resists to it’s best ability that which is does not want to allow. The boundary differentiates the space the body occupies from the space the next and the next body occupies. Beneath the boundary is an internal world that belongs only to that body.
All bodies emit light. Once photons from the star in the galaxy a body exists in bounces off the body, it makes the body visible to be seen by image capturing or recognizing devices E.g eyes, cameras.
All bodies have effect on other bodies. Given a space with X bodies in a state of equilibrium, once body X + 1 joins the space the equilibrium shifts. The direction of the shift though not knowable ahead of time, yet it does not remain the same. All bodies have effect on other bodies.
Though all bodies emit light and have effect on other bodies, there is a certain kind of body that is only recognized by it’s effect on other bodies – black holes.
A black hole is a metaphor, for it is not a hole, it is a body that is not seen but that we are certain exists. How? By reason of it’s effect on other bodies in it’s vicinity.
Example: Once a body approaches a black hole, the moment it gets beyond a certain limit of it’s proximity, it gets spaghetizzed – squeezed horizontally and stretched vertically – the black hole is attempting to ‘swallow it’ – and swallow it it will.
Black holes do not emit light, for once another body makes contact with their action surface, it is never to be seen again – the gravitational pull in a black hole is infinite. So that light photons that reach their action surface never get emitted to reflect the shape of the black hole, rather they are ‘absorbed’ for life.
All images of black holes are contrived from the imaginations of those who have studied their effect in their surroundings for a long time. There is no such thing as a black hole that has made it's shape and form visible to image capturing devices.
What then?
Make your presence felt – better positively than negatively, either way, better felt than not.
Be a black hole.
The effect or impact we have in the lives of others is the only thing that will remain once we are gone.
